Overview
What is Autodraft?
Autodraft AI is a web and mobile tool for making 2D cartoon story videos without traditional animation skills. It is aimed at YouTube creators who want to publish animated content without drawing characters and backgrounds or recording voiceovers themselves.Users type a prompt to generate characters and scene backgrounds in one of more than 100 consistent art styles, or upload a storyboard or sketch to control the composition. They then place characters in a scene, apply pre-built actions, expressions, and lip-sync, add an AI voiceover from a preset library, and finish with effects, chroma key, and layer controls.

The verdict
Pros & cons
Pros
Sketch-to-image and storyboard-to-image keep the planned composition and hold a consistent style from scene to scene.
Ready-made characters plus the action library got a moving scene on screen in my first session with no animation background.
Actions, expressions, and lip movements can be adjusted by hand after generation rather than being locked to AI output.
The mobile app has close to full feature parity, so complete scenes can be built from a phone.
Cons
Image generation can be slow; I waited several minutes for a machine to start and sometimes got a generation error instead of an image.
Support is unreliable; several emails went unanswered and the contact form was down for a period.
Custom character generation misses the brief roughly one time in three, so re-prompting is routine.
Lip-sync tracks the built-in voices well but drifts with uploaded audio, especially non-English tracks.
